Having our community voice heard in important public forums plays an essential role in helping shape the policies that effect our collective experience.
Any member of the public may, either on their own behalf or as a representative of an organization or group, appear at any public meeting of the Board and make a deputation on an item on the agenda.
Community sessions led by Lions with experience in delivering highly resonating deputations provide you insight on upcoming deputation dates, agenda items and how to have your voice heard in an effective and impactful manner.
To have your voice heard fill out the form below or email us today at hello@lionsofjudah.org with subject header “Police Deputations”
The 2023-2024 school year so an unprecedented level of antisemitism on school’s across Canada and the US with students at the University of Toronto being forced to contend with a multi month long ‘encampment’ along with many other forms of hostility and antisemitic abuse.
In response to the growing number of reports of antisemitic incidents experienced by students on campus at the University of Toronto in 2024, #theLOJ is canvassing current UofT students for their stories and first hand accounts of antisemitism they have experienced at the school.
This collection of first hand accounts will be provided directly to the member of the University of Toronto Governing Council who will inform the council directly of current and past acts of antisemitism to bring awareness and effect positive change in student experience on campus.
The incidents need not be egregious, much of the hate faced by the Jewish population is often subtle and can be acts of exclusion or being singled out for your religion or beliefs. Other notable forms include offensive & unrelated materials being injected into your course curriculum, derogatory or inappropriate comments from a student or faculty member to more overt and obvious forms of discrimination and hate.
To ensure the integrity and effectiveness of this initiative all reports will be verified.
To protect your privacy, once verified, there is the option for your name & personal information to be redacted in the final report if that is your preference.
IF you are are student OR know a student at the University of Toronto who has experienced antisemitism on campus and/or in class we encourage you to share your experience directly with the Governing Council at the link here:
